2026 NEW YEAR'S MESSAGE FROM FAY BAILEY-GREGORY - PRESIDENT

Fellow Past Students,

As we welcome the New Year 2026, I extend warm greetings and best wishes to all past students, members, supporters, and friends of the Holmwood Past Students’ Association.

The past year reminded us of the strength of our bond and the pride we share in our alma mater. Through continued unity, service, and commitment, we have upheld the values instilled in us and strengthened our role in supporting the growth and development of our school.

On behalf of the Past Students’ Association, I extend heartfelt thanks to all past students and friends of Holmwood Technical High School who gave their unwavering support following the passing of Hurricane Melissa.

During this challenging time, your generosity, encouragement, and willingness to assist in any way possible truly reflected the strength of the Holmwood family. Your donations, kind words, and acts of service played a significant role in helping our school begin the process of recovery and restoration. Moments like these remind us that Holmwood is more than an institution—it is a community bound by shared values, resilience, and pride. Your support has uplifted the spirits of our students, staff, and wider school community, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

As we step into 2026, let us embrace new opportunities with renewed purpose, optimism, and a spirit of giving. Together, we can continue to make meaningful contributions, inspire future generations, and preserve the proud legacy of our institution.

As a proud Past Students’ Association, in this very special year, we join the Holmwood Community in celebrating 90 years of excellence, legacy, and impact of our beloved high school. This milestone is made even more meaningful as it also marks our HolmComing Year, a time for reunion, reflection, and renewed commitment.

On behalf of the Association, I am humbly asking for your continued support as we plan and execute activities to commemorate this historic occasion. Your support—whether through participation, volunteering, sponsorship, or financial contribution—will help us honour our school’s rich history while investing in its future generations.

This anniversary is not just a celebration of the past, but a call to strengthen the bonds that connect us as alumni and to give back to the institution that helped shape who we are today.

We look forward to welcoming you home and working together to make this 90th anniversary and HolmComing year truly memorable.

Thank you for standing with Holmwood. Together, we will continue to rebuild, grow, and move forward stronger than before.

On behalf of the Executive and members of the Past Students’ Association, I wish you and your families a year filled with good health, success, peace, and prosperity.

Fay Bailey Gregory

Passing of the Baton

Message from the outgoing President

My fellow Holmwood Alumni:

It is a good thing to remember our roots, and to support the institutions that helped to nurture, guide, and shape our lives. This includes our homes, the church, community, and very importantly, our schools. Holmwood Technical High School, like many other educational institutions, needs the ongoing support of its alumni and friends. It is for this reason that I and many other past students have been and continue to be in service through leadership and participation in the Holmwood Past Students’ Association (HPSA).

As I demit office, I take this opportunity to thank you for your support over my five years as President of the HPSA. Special thanks to my very active and supportive team of IEB executive members including the Chapter Presidents. I think we can be proud of our accomplishments in delivering on our mandate over the period. On behalf of the team, I humbly acknowledge all who sent us warm thank you messages. I also acknowledge the important collaboration from the Chairman and Principal of Holmwood, which is a necessary ingredient for the HPSA to impact school development.

Congratulations to our new President Fay Bailey-Gregory and the newly elected team! I assure you of my continued contribution in the role Immediate Past President.

Let's stay together as we continue to strengthen alumni collaboration, and ongoing support to our beloved alma mater Holmwood Technical High School!

Blessings!

Message from the incoming President

Dear Esteemed Alumni,

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. It is with a sense of honor and enthusiasm that I assume the role of President of the Past Student Association of Holmwood Technical High School.

Our association has a rich history of fostering connections, celebrating achievements, and giving back to the institutions that have shaped us into the individuals we are today. As we embark on this new journey together, I am excited to continue building upon our foundation and exploring new avenues for growth.

First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my predecessors for their tireless dedication and commitment to our alumni community. Their efforts have laid the groundwork for the impactful work we will undertake during my tenure.

One of my primary goals is to strengthen the bond between our esteemed alumni and the institutions that played a pivotal role in our personal and professional development. We will work closely with our alma mater to create opportunities for mentorship, networking, and collaboration. By sharing our experiences and wisdom, we can guide the next generation of students toward success and help shape their futures.

Our association will also focus on giving back to our communities. Through philanthropic initiatives, volunteer work, and charitable contributions, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate. Together, we have the power to create meaningful change and leave a lasting legacy of compassion and generosity.

I encourage you all to continue to actively participate in the association's endeavors. Your insights, ideas, and contributions are invaluable to our success. By working together, we can uphold the values that define our association and contribute meaningfully to the world around us.

Please keep an eye on your inbox for updates on upcoming events and initiatives. I am eager to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and aspirations for our association. Feel free to reach out to me directly at holmwoodpsa@gmail.com with your feedback or ideas.

Thank you for entrusting me with this responsibility. I am humbled by the opportunity to serve as your President and am excited about the incredible journey that lies ahead. Together, we can continue to make a difference and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Let's Stay Together.

Fay Bailey Gregory
