HOLMWOOD SCHOOLBUS PROJECT

We are seeking donations to help us acquire two school buses to provide the students with safe and convenient transportation to various events and activities. We would like to collect the amount of twenty million Jamaican dollars $JA20,000,000 which is approximately One hundred and thirty-five thousand US Dollars ($US135, 000.00).

Our association holds the welfare and growth of the school very close to heart, and we believe that investing in a school bus would significantly enhance the overall educational experience and opportunities for the current student body.

As past students, we are keenly aware of the many challenges that students face when it comes to attending various events, such as sports tournaments, cultural festivals, educational trips, and community service activities. While these events play a pivotal role in the holistic development of students, the lack of adequate transportation often hinders their participation. We firmly believe that having dedicated transportation would address this issue. There are several benefits we believe, purchasing school buses would do.

Enhanced Safety: Traveling in a school-owned bus would provide a safer and more controlled environment for students compared to using public transportation or private vehicles.

Improved Accessibility: A school bus would ensure that all students have equal access to off- campus events, irrespective of their personal transportation arrangements.

Cost Saving: By providing a cost-effective transportation solution for students, the school can potentially reduce the financial burden on families and encourage greater participation in events.

Community Building:  A school bus would foster a sense of community and unity among students as they travel together to different events, promoting team spirit and camaraderie.

Increased Participation:  The availability of transportation would encourage more students to participate in extracurricular activities, enriching their overall educational experience.
